About Andrea

Behind the Words

Andrea Huglin is a travelaholic first time author who currently lives in Noosa, Australia.  For the last several years she has been traveling the world with her American Academy Award winning filmmaker husband and homeschooling her two South African born children which she writes about in her Dumb Blonde Adventure Blogs

Her first job was washing dishes at age 11 in the pub across from her family’s home in northern England.  She went on to create five wildly different lives for herself in five continents and has traveled and worked in over sixty countries.  Before Andrea started a whale watching business in Africa she had been a glass marble painter, failed hairdresser, Chinese shopping tour guide, airline hostess, English banker, secretary, French nanny, karaoke bar tender, outback short order cook, ski guide, limousine radio dispatcher, book publishing house receptionist, Sydney harbor boat cleaner, Olympic tourism trainer, customs broker, telemarketer and debt collector. She is currently editor/producer for Noosa Film Academy. 

Andrea is truly a keen surfer and power foiler, wannabe pilates pirate and rabid treasure hunter/career thrift store shopper.  She suffers from vertigo yet has been compelled to ascend the highest building in every city she has ever visited.  Andrea writes from true experiences and always has another dumb blonde adventure in mind.
